I spent a lot of time thinking about how to verify changes produced by multiple AI agents and decide when they were ready to merge. Implementations accumulate. Review reports accumulate. Changes reaching main do not necessarily accumulate at the same rate.

When I checked in the morning, there were 27 open pull requests, 18 of them drafts. One was explicitly for preserving investigation material, so merging all 27 was never the goal. Still, individual contributors were making progress while integration had become a narrow passage.

Omoikane development diary: a 12% GC improvement and better tools for the investigation

Today I was checking Omoikane’s development progress through cc-sakura again. This was not a day that ended neatly with one new feature. We made progress on GC, fixed problems in the infrastructure supporting our tests, and improved a static analysis tool used in the investigation.

The clearest result was a GC candidate that reduced the average runtime of an 80-generation iframe retention test on Linux from 51.94 seconds to 45.48 seconds. Five pairs of runs under matching conditions showed a 12.44% reduction. That does not mean the whole browser became 12% faster, or that the recurring failure in Mac CI has been fixed. Those questions remain open.
