Yesterday I visited the aquarium and Kihinkan. Today I’m heading home from Hokkaido.

There was a Teto plush in a claw machine at New Chitose Airport. I brought home a new Teto.

Let’s go home to Shikoku together.

Lunch at the airport

I had a Snow Miku boxed lunch.

The outer box was designed to be taken home. They know exactly what fans will want to keep.

I was done driving, so I could finally have a beer in the lounge.

Time to leave Hokkaido, with Teto and Karin.

Changing planes at Haneda

At Haneda I had to run from gate 47 to gate 506. I’m glad I had the stamina.

Then it was back into the sky.

I ate dinner while listening to a stream by someone I follow. What a time to be alive: I can listen to a livestream while flying.

The plane shook quite a bit inside the clouds, but the Seto Inland Sea beyond them looked calm.

Then familiar shapes came into view. It felt like I was back in Shikoku.

I got home after seven. Kagawa is far too hot. I already want to go back to Otaru.

Already planning the next trip

This was my first visit to Otaru, but I didn’t finish the entire town stamp rally. I’ll have to return.

In fact, at one this morning I booked a flight to Otaru for six months from now. I made the next plan before this trip was even over.

I want to see Otaru in winter, and I’d like to visit the snow festival too.

I like how a place that began as a travel destination slowly starts to feel familiar.
